"Shelby American drivers Dave MacDonald and Bob Holbert at Daytona International Speedway during qualifying for the 2/16/1964 Daytona Continental 2000km. It was the debut race for new Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe CSX2287. MacDonald was top qualifier for the race with a lap time of 2:08.800 and 171.381 km/h. MacDonald and Bob Holbert co-piloted CSX2287 in this race and were 4 1/2 laps ahead of the field when a freak fire in the pits on lap 209 ended their day." - Rich MacDonald (2013)

I wouldn’t say I’m happy. But the fact is that without Maldonado’s money there would probably have been 2 less cars on the grid next year.
It’s not long ago that Romain was a crash kid and see where he’s now! Maybe, just maybe Maldonado can change as well.
